About the Design

This piece features an impressive abstract, art-like design. It blends seamlessly into any space, adding depth and color to your interior. While abstract, this rug, resembling modern art, somehow evokes a sense of tranquility and warmth. Among this collection, it boasts a wider range of colors and distinct transitions between surfaces, making it a floor-art piece when placed in a room with plain walls and a simple sofa. The pattern may vary slightly with each weaving.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. 6444 features an ivory base with a blend of sage, olive, and a hint of yellow. Among the three colors, this one has the most natural palette, complementing plants and wood. Mysel is available in three colors: 6414, 6424, and 6444. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa so that its front legs rest on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be roughly aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want both the sofa and the low table to be placed entirely on the rug. For dining areas, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled back, use the table width plus 80cm on each side as a guide. In a bedroom, the short side of the rug can be tucked under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it extending under the bed.

Materials and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance between comfort and ease of maintenance, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it's easier to vacuum compared to high-pile rugs. It is a Wilton weave, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3150g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered in a cylindrical plastic package with the instruction manual included. The approximate package dimensions are: 133×195cm will be approx. 15cm in diameter × 145cm in length; 160×230cm will be approx. 20cm in diameter × 170cm in length; 200×290cm will be approx. 30cm in diameter × 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery is to the curb or front door. Drivers will not carry items inside your home or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Please note that the 200×290cm size package exceeds 2m in length, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure the product number, color number, and size are correct, and check for any damage during transportation.
・Please unbox the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unboxing, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects like cutters.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stack it. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check its condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After we receive your contact, we will inspect the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transportation as more time passes, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. If not sufficiently dry, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. The rug may slip and cause falls if simply laid down.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain some curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy items like furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs using cut pile may exhibit partial disruption of the pile direction during use, creating a cloud-like discoloration (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If any pile (fringe) pops out, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top to prevent creases and wrinkles.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Be aware that using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally can make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorite, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you intend to spray these onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
