About the Design

This rug, named "Breath" after the French words layered together, features softly drifting colors and abstract motifs layered in multiple strata, bringing a poetic rhythm to the space. The undulations, as if drawn by the wind, and the texture, like a wall etched by the passage of time, create a design that conveys movement within tranquility. Because the pattern does not have distinct outlines, the eye does not stop at a single point but flows through the room. The appearance of the pattern varies with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 9616 features shades from mauve to wine red, overlaid with beige and gray. Among the two colors, this one has a stronger hue, like an abstract painting. It's perfect for adding color to a monochrome space. Sreya is available in two colors: 9616 and 9727. Please check the actual colors in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with the front legs on it. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the shorter side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa width, creating a cohesive look. A 133x195cm rug fits in areas where you only want to place a part of the furniture, such as beside a bed, in a study, or in the center of a studio apartment. If using it in a dining area, to ensure the back legs of chairs do not fall off when pulled out, estimate the size by adding 80cm to each side of the table width. In a bedroom, insert the shorter side of the rug at the foot of the bed, placing about one-third of it under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm, a balanced height for both comfort underfoot and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. It is a Wilton weave, a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3050g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 11.2kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used over floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<about delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products are delivered with the instruction manual included, plastic-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. The estimated packaging sizes are: 133x195cm is approx. 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160x230cm is approx. 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200x290cm is approx. 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery is via Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items indoors or install them.
Since products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway opening) in advance.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack promptly after delivery. Do not store the product in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects like cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

<about returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We also cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual item to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood floors, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets. Without them, the rug may slide, causing falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state can cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by customers, and shooting conditions.
・The pattern appearance and impression vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy items such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show a cloud-like unevenness in color as the direction of the pile nap becomes uneven in some areas during use (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a quality defect.

<care and storage>
・If a pile (fiber) protrudes, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it with scissors from the base.
・When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll the rug into a cylinder and lay it flat. Do not place heavy objects on top.

<precautions for use>
・Using the product in direct sunlight can accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to shade it with curtains or blinds.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers etc. on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs etc. may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Please refrain from direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you use them after spraying on a cloth, please be sure to test on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
