About the Design

This rug features striking overlapping colors reminiscent of the Earth's cross-section. The organic gradation, inspired by layers of soil, rock, and sand, brings a sense of calm depth to the space. The neutral earth tones beautifully complement interiors with natural materials such as wood and stone. The pile is dense and has a soft, smooth feel, providing comfortable warmth underfoot. With a design inspired by natural formations, this piece adds a gentle presence to living rooms and bedrooms. The name "Strate" means "geological layer" in French. The pattern will vary with each weave.

About this color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 6787 is a warm color scheme with layers of brown, beige, and ivory. It is the warmest of the three colors, most directly expressing the inspiration of a soil cross-section. Strate is available in three colors: 6362, 6747, and 6787. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

How to choose size and shape

A 160 x 230 cm rug is suitable for a living room of approximately 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost flush with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200 x 290 cm rug is for a room of approximately 8 tatami mats, or if you want to place both the sofa and low table within the rug. If using it for dining, ensure that when you pull out the chairs, their back legs do not fall off the rug; use the table width plus 80 cm on each side as a guide. In a bedroom, you can place the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it underneath the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and comfortable enough to sit directly on the floor. It is more suitable for places where you relax, such as in front of a sofa or by a bed, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, please use a low suction setting. The weave is Wilton. This is a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3200g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 11.8kg. Among this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), it is considered high-density, offering a noticeable springiness when stepped on. It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered in a cylindrical plastic package with the instruction manual included. The approximate package dimensions are: 133×195cm will be approx. 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm will be approx. 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200×290cm will be approx. 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items inside your home or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Please note that the 200×290cm rug package will exceed 2 meters in length, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, entrance opening) in advance.

＜Upon Delivery, Please Check Immediately＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack the product promptly upon delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more time passes, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please ensure the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using a commercially available non-slip sheet or similar product. The rug may slip and cause falls if simply laid as is.
・Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled may cause tripping hazards and falls.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the photos published due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by customers, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut piles may show partial irregularities in the direction of the pile nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If the pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it out forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds for sun protection.
・Using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer, so please be careful.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you intend to spray these onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
