About the Design

This rug features striking, overlapping colors reminiscent of an earth cross-section. The organic gradation, inspired by layers of soil, rock, and sand, brings a sense of calm depth to the space. The neutral earth tones harmonize beautifully with natural materials like wood and stone. The pile is dense, soft, and smooth to the touch, providing a comfortable warmth underfoot. With a design inspired by natural formations, this piece adds a serene presence to living rooms and bedrooms. "Strate" is French for stratum. The pattern will vary with each weave.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. 6747 is a layer of green-gray, beige, and ivory. It is the only one of the three colors to include green, harmonizing with plants and wood. Strate is available in three colors: 6362, 6747, and 6787. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is for about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug. When used in a dining room, as a guide, add 80cm to each side of the table width to ensure that the back legs of the chairs do not fall off the rug when pulled out. In a bedroom, the short side of the rug can be tucked under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug extending under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 25mm. It is thick, providing a comfortable feel even when sitting directly on the floor. It is more suitable for areas where you spend leisurely time, such as in front of a sofa or by a bedside, rather than places where dining chairs are frequently moved. When using a vacuum cleaner, please use it on a low suction setting. The weave is Wilton. This is a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3200g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.8kg. This piece is among the denser rugs in this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), and you can easily feel its elasticity when stepped on. It is flame-retardant and can be used on floor heating or hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packing dimensions are: 133×195cm is approximately 15cm in diameter and 145cm in length; 160×230cm is approximately 20cm in diameter and 170cm in length; and 200×290cm is approximately 30cm in diameter and 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the curb or front door. Drivers will not carry items into the room or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accept requests for specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands.
Especially for the 200×290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance opening) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack immediately after delivery. Do not store in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After we receive your contact, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. As time passes, it becomes more difficult to determine if the damage was due to transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before laying＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. If drying is insufficient, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug simply placed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping and falls.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the photos shown depending on the monitor of the computer or smartphone you are viewing, and the shooting conditions.
・The pattern appearance and visibility vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What happens with use＞
・Immediately after delivery, a slight curl may remain. This will gradually settle and disappear with a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs made with cut pile may show a partial disorder in the direction of the pile nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) pops out, do not pull it forcefully, but carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with the rug's components and cause discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar items may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or a piano over the rug, always place plywood or thick paper underneath to protect the rug.
・Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
