About the Design

This rug features a striking pattern of overlapping colors reminiscent of earth's geological layers. The organic gradation, inspired by layers of soil, rock, and sand, brings a sense of calm depth to any space. Its neutral earth tones blend beautifully with natural materials like wood and stone. The pile is dense, soft, and smooth to the touch, providing a comfortable warmth underfoot. Inspired by natural formations, this design adds a serene presence to living rooms and bedrooms. The name "Strate" means "stratum" in French. The pattern may vary slightly with each weaving.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product numbers. 6362 features layers of gray, ivory, and beige. Among the three colors, it is the most achromatic, and while it has a geological pattern, its presence is subtle. The Strate collection is available in three colors: 6362, 6747, and 6787. Please refer to the photos for actual color tones.

Choosing Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for an 8-tatami mat room or when you want both the sofa and coffee table to be within the rug's area. For dining rooms, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled out, estimate a size by adding 80cm to each side of the table's width. In bedrooms, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it under the bed.

Material and Weave

Made from 100% polypropylene with a pile height of 25mm. It is thick, providing a comfortable feel even when sitting directly on the floor. It is more suited for areas where you relax, such as in front of a sofa or by a bedside, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, use a low suction setting. It is Wilton woven, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3200g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.8kg. Among this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), it is considered dense, offering a noticeable bounce when stepped on. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. Origin is Belgium.

＜About Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual, rolled and packaged in plastic. Approximate packaging sizes are: 133×195cm is approx. 15cm in diameter × 145cm in length; 160×230cm is approx. 20cm in diameter × 170cm in length; 200×290cm is approx. 30cm in diameter × 210cm in length (sizes may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items indoors or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200×290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your delivery route (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please Check Immediately After Delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure there are no mistakes in the product number, color number, or size, and check for any damage during transit.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects like cutters.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stacked. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜About Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check its condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying the Rug＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it is folded or wrinkled can cause tripping accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual product's color and texture may differ from the published photos due to differences in the computer or smartphone monitors you view, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of the pattern may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain its rolled shape. This will gradually settle and resolve itself within a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs using cut pile may show partial disorder in the direction of the pile over time, appearing like cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If pile (fibers) protrude, do not pull them forcibly; carefully cut them at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Use in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take sun protection measures with curtains or blinds.
・Using rubber covers or similar on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer, so please be careful.
・Localized pressure, such as from table legs, may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture like pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always lay plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
