About the Design

This simple rug has a textured, wool-like warm feel. The nuanced expression created by the fine weave brings a soft depth to the space. There is no pattern to speak of; the weave is only visible up close. This allows it to complement furniture and lighting without overpowering them, creating the sensation of simply changing the texture of the floor itself. The name "Sol" means "soil," "ground," or "surface" in French. Its understated, calm design harmonizes naturally with a variety of interiors.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 8283 is a solid dark brown to taupe. It is the darkest of the four colors, grounding the floor space. It creates a contrast when paired with light walls or pale sofas. Sol is available in four colors: 6575, 7565, 7696, and 8283. Please confirm the actual color in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the shorter side of the rug will be approximately the same width as the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table within the rug. If using it in a dining room, ensure that the back legs of the chairs do not fall off the rug when pulled out; as a guide, add 80cm to each side of the table width. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the shorter side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm, a balanced height for both comfort and ease of handling, making it suitable for living rooms and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton. This method involves weaving pile threads into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3050g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 11.2kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

About Delivery
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual and individually wrapped in vinyl in a cylindrical shape. The approximate packing dimensions are: 133×195cm is approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm is approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200×290cm is approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the curb or entrance. Drivers will not carry items into the room or perform installation.
Due to direct shipping from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accept requests for specific delivery dates or times.
Delivery to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands is not available.
Please note that for the 200×290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

Please check immediately after delivery:
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage during transit.
・Please unpack promptly after delivery. Do not store in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

About Returns and Exchanges:
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges of products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Before Laying:
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood floors, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping accidents.

About Size and Color:
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual product color and texture may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
・The pattern appearance and presentation vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

What Happens with Use:
・Immediately after delivery, there may be some curling due to being rolled. This will gradually settle and resolve after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized strong pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show partial disarray in the pile direction during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

Care and Storage:
・If any pile (fiber) pops out, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll it into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top.

Precautions for Use:
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components, potentially causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar items may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally can make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, or hypochlorous acid, as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If using by spraying onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
