About the Design

This rug features a rich, impressive texture reminiscent of rock surfaces and mineral particles. The design, inspired by the deep rock formations of the earth, brings strength and depth to any space. The complex interplay of colors and subtle gradations offer a modern expression of nature's sculptural beauty. The calming earth-tone palette harmonizes beautifully with natural materials like wood and stone, creating a sophisticated and serene atmosphere. "Roche" is French for rock. The pattern will vary with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 6696 features charcoal and blue-gray particles scattered across an ivory base. As the lighter of the two colors, it maintains the look of rock without making the room feel heavy. Roche is available in two colors: 3888 and 6696. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

How to Choose Size and Shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with the front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug. For dining areas, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled out, estimate a size by adding 80cm to each side of the table's width. In bedrooms, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, about one-third of the way in.

Materials and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance of comfort underfoot and ease of care, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to high-pile rugs. It is Wilton woven, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3150g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 JPY will be charged.
The product will be delivered with an instruction manual and individually wrapped in vinyl in a cylindrical shape. Packaging dimensions are approximate: 133×195cm will be approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm will be approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200×290cm will be approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep/entrance. The driver will not carry the product inside or install it.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Please check your搬入経路(elevator, stairs, entrance opening) in advance, especially for the 200×290cm size, as the package length exceeds 2m.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please check that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack promptly after delivery. Do not store the product in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with a cutter or other sharp object.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

<returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition and send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transport as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. If drying is insufficient, rug marks may be left on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using a commercially available non-slip sheet or similar product. If the rug is left as is, it may slip and cause falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state can cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
・The appearance and arrangement of patterns vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, a卷癖 may remain. It will gradually settle and resolve with use over several weeks.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized heavy loads are applied.
・For rugs with cut pile, the direction of the pile may become partially uneven during use, appearing like cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

<care and storage>
・If pile (fiber) protrudes, do not forcibly pull it out. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylindrical shape and lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top.

<precautions for use>
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components and cause discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture such as pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Please refrain from direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
