About the Design

This rug features a soft, impressive texture inspired by landscapes of sand dunes shaped by the wind. Its fine, particle-like appearance brings natural depth and subtle nuance to any space. The gentle, neutral colors beautifully complement natural interiors and wooden furniture. The delicate texture, reminiscent of natural formations, adds a soft depth to the space. The name "Dune" means "sand dune" in French. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 6121 features an ivory base with fine specks of gold beige scattered throughout. The granular texture of a sand dune is directly reflected in its appearance, and in a bright room, when light hits it, the specks seem to float. Please refer to the photos to confirm the actual color.

How to Choose Size and Shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for a living room of approximately 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs resting on the rug. For a 2-2.5 seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be roughly aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of approximately 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table entirely within the rug. If using it in a dining area, to ensure the back legs of chairs do not fall off when pulled out, estimate a size by adding 80cm to each side of the table's width. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug extending beneath the bed.

Materials and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (using recycled yarn). The pile height is 15mm, offering enough thickness to feel it sink beneath your feet, making it suitable for seasons spent barefoot. It features a Wilton weave, a method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2800 g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 10.3kg. Among this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), it is lighter, making it suitable if ease of handling is a priority. Recycled yarn is used for the pile. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packaging sizes are: 133 x 195 cm: approx. 15 cm diameter x approx. 145 cm length; 160 x 230 cm: approx. 20 cm diameter x approx. 170 cm length; 200 x 290 cm: approx. 30 cm diameter x approx. 210 cm length (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery is by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items indoors or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accept requests for specific delivery dates or times.
Delivery to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands is not available.
Especially for the 200 x 290 cm size, the package length exceeds 2 meters, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure there are no mistakes in the product number, color number, or size, and no damage during transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store upright or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If there is a defect in the delivered product or damage during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not products manufactured by our company. After receiving your contact, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. As time passes, it becomes difficult to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before laying the rug＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The colors and textures of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
・The appearance and positioning of patterns vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What happens with use＞
・Immediately after delivery, some curling may remain. This will gradually subside and resolve within a few weeks of use.
・If heavy items such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized heavy loads are applied.
・Rugs with cut piles may show partial disturbance in the direction of the pile nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic inherent to cut piles and is not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (nap) sticks out, do not pull it forcibly. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat in a horizontal position, and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers etc. on furniture legs may cause discoloration or color transfer due to reaction with rug components.
・Localized pressure from table legs etc. may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc. may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. If you spray them onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
