About the Design

This rug features an enchanting, delicate, and softly spreading pattern, much like bubbles. The design, with large and small particles dancing across a grayish tone, truly resembles bubbles floating on water. Subtle gradations and bleeding create depth in the space, exuding a quiet, sophisticated mood. Because the particle sizes vary, it avoids a mechanical, repetitive look, and larger sizes reveal a richer expression. It's recommended not only for modern interiors but also as an artistic addition to simple spaces. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 6233 features white particles floating on a charcoal to dark gray ground. It is the darker of the two colors, with a distinct contrast in the particles. Ideal for when you want to define the floor area. Mousse is available in two colors: 6233 and 6575. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

Choosing Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is sized to be placed in front of a sofa in a living room of about 6 tatami mats (approx. 10 sqm), with the front legs of the sofa resting on it. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be roughly aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for an 8-tatami mat room (approx. 13 sqm), or if you want both the sofa and coffee table to be within the rug's perimeter. When using it in a dining area, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled out, aim for a size that adds approximately 80cm to each side of the table's width. For a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it extending under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance of comfort underfoot and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living and dining areas. Another advantage is that it's easier to vacuum compared to rugs with longer piles. The weave is Wilton. This method involves weaving the pile yarn into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3050g/sqm, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.2kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/sqm). It is fire-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜About Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
The product will be delivered with the instruction manual included,ビニール wrapped in a cylindrical shape. As a guide for packaging, 133x195cm will be approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length, 160x230cm will be approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length, and 200x290cm will be approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (this may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery is by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep/entrance. Drivers will not carry the product indoors or set it up.
As the product is shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check the搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance opening) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please check the product number, color number, and size to ensure there are no mistakes, and that there is no damage during transit.
・Please unpack promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with a cutter or other sharp objects.
・Do not store upright or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜About Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If there is a defect in the delivered product or damage during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition, send the actual item to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug simply placed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it is folded or wrinkled may cause tripping accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
・The pattern's appearance and visibility vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain its rolled shape. It will gradually flatten and disappear with several weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized heavy loads are applied.
・For rugs with cut pile, the direction of the pile may become partially uneven during use, appearing like cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the product in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with the rug's components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or other items may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally can make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with wheels or pianos on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Please refrain from directly spraying insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you use them after spraying on a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
