About the Design

This rug offers a comfortable feel with its luxurious texture and natural-toned colors. Without a pattern, the criteria for choosing are color and feel. It features a low pile height of 9mm, which gives the surface a taut, well-defined appearance. In rooms where there are already patterned furniture or art, a quiet floor can help calm the overall atmosphere. The pattern will vary with each weaving.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 2121 is a solid light gray to blue-gray. Among the two colors, this one leans more towards a cool tone and can be seamlessly extended from white or gray flooring. The reel is available in two colors: 2121 and 7131. Please confirm the actual color in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

The 160×230cm size is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with the front legs resting on it. For a 2-2.5 seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. The 200×290cm size is for a room of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and the low table inside the rug. If using it in a dining room, as a guide, add 80cm to each side of the table width to ensure that the back legs of the chairs do not fall off when pulled out. In a bedroom, a good layout is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it under the bed.

Materials and Weave

The material is 50% polyester and 50% polypropylene. The pile height is 9mm. This is the lowest in this collection, giving the surface a taut, well-defined appearance. It's a height that prevents dining chair legs from getting caught and makes vacuuming easy. The weave is Wilton. This is a manufacturing method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2650g/㎡, and a 160×230cm rug weighs approximately 9.8kg. It is relatively light within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), making it suitable if ease of handling is a priority. It is fire-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<about delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packaging dimensions are: 133×195cm will be approx. 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm will be approx. 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200×290cm will be approx. 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the curb or front door. Drivers will not carry items indoors or perform installation.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accept specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, and entrance width) in advance.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please check that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack promptly after delivery. Do not store in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

<about returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not products manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood floors, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug simply laid down may cause it to slip, leading to falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual product color and texture may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The appearance and positioning of patterns vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, some curling from being rolled up may remain. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may become crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show partial disturbance in the direction of the pile during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

<care and storage>
・If the pile (fiber) protrudes, do not pull it out forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder and lay it flat, avoiding placing heavy objects on top.

<precautions for use>
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds for sun protection.
・Using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may cause discoloration or color transfer due to a reaction with the rug's components, so please be careful.
・Localized pressure, such as from table legs, may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct application of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. If you use them after spraying them on a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
