About the Design

This rug offers a comfortable feel with its luxurious texture and natural tones. Without a pattern, the criteria for choosing are color and feel. With a low pile height of 9mm, it features a characteristic tight surface appearance. In rooms that already have patterned furniture or art, a calm floor helps to settle the overall atmosphere. The pattern expression will vary with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 7131 is a solid warm gray to greige color. It is the warmer of the two colors and blends naturally with oak flooring. The Reel is available in two colors: 2121 and 7131. Please check the actual color in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160×230cm rug is sized to be placed in front of a sofa in a living room of approximately 6 tatami mats, with the sofa's front legs resting on it. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will almost align with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200×290cm rug is suitable for approximately 8 tatami mats, or if you want to place both the sofa and the low table within the rug. When using it in a dining room, as a guide, choose a size that is the width of the table plus 80cm on each side, so that the back legs of the chairs do not fall off when pulled out. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, so that about one-third of it is underneath the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 50% polyester and 50% polypropylene. The pile height is 9mm. This is the lowest among this collection, giving the surface a tight appearance. It is a suitable height as dining chair legs are less likely to get caught, and it is easy to vacuum. The weave is Wilton weave, a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2650g/㎡, with a 160×230cm rug weighing approximately 9.8kg. This is lighter among this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), making it suitable if ease of handling is a priority. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual and individually wrapped in a cylindrical plastic package. Approximate packaging dimensions are: 133 x 195 cm will be approximately 15 cm in diameter x 145 cm in length; 160 x 230 cm will be approximately 20 cm in diameter x 170 cm in length; 200 x 290 cm will be approximately 30 cm in diameter x 210 cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be made to the curb or at your entrance. Drivers will not carry items inside your home or perform installation.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we are unable to accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200 x 290 cm size, the package length exceeds 2 meters, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway clearance) in advance.

<upon delivery: please check immediately>
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stack it. This may cause creases or deformation.

<returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check its condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not products manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may cause rug marks to remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug with folds or wrinkles can cause falls due to tripping.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and positioning of patterns will vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

<what may happen during use>
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear with a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show localized disruption in the direction of the pile over time, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

<care and storage>
・If a pile thread (fiber) protrudes, do not pull it forcibly. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

<precautions for use>
・Use in direct sunlight may cause surface fading and accelerate deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds to block sunlight.
・Using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with the rug's components, causing discoloration or color transfer. Please be aware of this.
・Localized pressure from legs of tables or similar objects may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving pianos or heavy furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. If you use such products after spraying them onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
