About the design

The randomly intersecting three-dimensional stitch pattern gives a contemporary impression. Rather than creating a pattern with color, lines are drawn by differences in the height of the weave, so from a distance, it appears almost plain. Up close, intersecting lines emerge, and the shadows change depending on the direction of the light. This rug is a good fit when a plain rug feels insufficient, but you want to avoid a prominent pattern. The appearance of the pattern will vary with each weaving.

About this color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 7131 has dark gray and a subtle blue-gray lines on a greige background. This is the more subdued of the two colors, and it blends well with wooden floors and wooden furniture. It is in an intermediate position, not too monochromatic and not too assertive in color. Ant is available in two colors: 2131 and 7131. Please check the photos for the actual color.

How to choose size and shape

A 160x230cm rug is sized to be placed in front of a sofa in a living room of about 6 tatami mats, with the front legs of the sofa resting on it. For a 2-2.5 seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a unified look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for a room of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table inside the rug. When using it in the dining room, to prevent the back legs of chairs from falling off when pulled back, estimate a size by adding 80cm to each side of the table width. In the bedroom, a good way to lay it is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it extending under the bed.

Material and weave

The material is 50% polyester and 50% polypropylene. The pile height is 9mm. This is the lowest in this collection, and the surface appears taut. It is a height that prevents dining chair legs from getting caught and makes vacuuming easy. It is Wilton woven. This manufacturing method weaves pile yarns into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2650g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 9.8kg. It is lighter in this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), making it suitable if you prioritize ease of handling. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual and individually packed in cylindrical plastic wrap. Approximate package dimensions are: 133×195cm is approx. 15cm diameter × 145cm length; 160×230cm is approx. 20cm diameter × 170cm length; 200×290cm is approx. 30cm diameter × 210cm length (dimensions may vary slightly by product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or front entrance. The driver will not carry items inside your room or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Please note that the 200×290cm size in particular has a package length exceeding 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please check that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stack items on top of it, as this may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transport, please check its condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or refund is possible. The longer the delay, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transport, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・Before laying the rug, please clean the floor surface.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please ensure the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. If drying is insufficient, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using a commercially available non-slip sheet or similar product. If left loosely, the rug may slip and cause falls.
・Using the rug with creases or wrinkles may cause tripping hazards and falls.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What to expect with use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・For rugs with cut pile, the direction of the pile may become uneven in some areas during use, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcibly; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate fading of the surface and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds to provide sun protection.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar on furniture legs may react with the rug's components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture like pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
