About the Design

This is an impressive rug with a three-dimensional feel, expressing a marble-like design by mixing glossy yarns. Just like stone patterns, there is no repetitive regularity, so the larger the area, the more natural it looks. The glossy yarn appears bright or subdued depending on the angle of incidence, preventing a flat impression. It pairs well with spaces featuring stone or tile and can be placed as an extension of the flooring. The pattern will vary with each weaving.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. 6141 features green veins on a white background. Among the three colors, it is the most natural-looking and suits spaces with plants. Liège is available in three colors: 6121, 6141, and 6151. Please check the actual color in the photos.

Choosing Size and Shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for living rooms of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa width, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table entirely on the rug. The 133x195cm size fits in places where you want to place only a part of the furniture, such as beside a bed, in a study, or in the center of a studio apartment. For use in a dining room, as a guide, add 80cm to each side of the table width to ensure the back legs of the chairs do not fall off when pulled out. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about a third of the rug under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 85% polypropylene and 15% polyester. The pile height is 11mm. This height strikes a balance between comfort underfoot and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to rugs with longer piles. The weave is Wilton. This manufacturing method involves weaving pile threads into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2950g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 10.9kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is fire-retardant and can be used over underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<about delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual and individually wrapped in plastic in a cylindrical shape. The approximate packaging dimensions are: 133×195cm is approx. 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm is approx. 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; and 200×290cm is approx. 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly by product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items indoors or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we are unable to accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, entryway width) in advance.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack immediately upon delivery. Do not store in a sealed state.
・When opening the package, be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

<about returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check its condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug simply laid may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled can cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl. It will gradually flatten out and settle after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut piles may show partial disarray in the pile direction during use, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut piles and is not a defect in quality.

<care and storage>
・If a pile (fiber) protrudes, do not forcibly pull it out. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

<usage precautions>
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds for sun protection.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally can make them less noticeable.
・When moving pianos or heavy furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct application of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even if you spray it on a cloth before use, always test it on an inconspicuous area first.
