About the Design

This rug features a trendy organic shape, a unique design that resembles a dinosaur egg. In addition to rectangles, we offer organically shaped pebble outlines. When a curve is introduced into a space filled with square furniture, it draws the eye and adds depth to the room. Since there's no need to align it with walls or furniture, you can place it based on where people will be, rather than where furniture is. The pattern will vary with each weave.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 6292 is almost entirely off-white, with just a single thin taupe line. This rug makes a statement with its shape and thickness rather than its color, so it complements any floor color. Combined with a 25mm pile, it creates a surface like snow. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160 x 230 cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs resting on it. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost the same width as the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200 x 290 cm rug is for a room of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug's area. A 133 x 195 cm rug fits in places where you want to place only a part of the furniture, such as by the bedside, in a study, or in the center of a studio apartment. The pebble shape has an organic outline and does not need to be aligned with walls or furniture. In rooms that are nearly square, or with furniture not placed against walls, it may fit better than a rectangular rug. The size is 160 x 230 cm. If you plan to use it in a dining area, estimate the size by adding 80 cm to each side of the table width to ensure the chair's back legs don't fall off when pulled out. In a bedroom, a good way to lay it is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about a third of it underneath the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (90% recycled yarn). The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and comfortable enough to sit directly on the floor. It is better suited for relaxing areas like in front of a sofa or by the bedside, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, use a weak suction setting. The weave is Wilton. This method involves weaving pile threads into the base fabric. The density is 3300g/㎡, and a 160 x 230 cm rug weighs approximately 12.1 kg. This is among the denser rugs in this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), offering a noticeable springiness when stepped on. The pile uses recycled yarn. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

Regarding Delivery:
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. The estimated packing dimensions are: 133x195cm is approx. 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160x230cm is approx. 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200x290cm is approx. 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (these dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product). Pebble-shaped rugs have the same packing dimensions as rectangular rugs of the same size.
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep/entrance. Drivers will not carry items into the room or install them.
Since items are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check the搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

After Delivery, Please Check Immediately:
Before use, please check the product number, color number, and size to ensure there are no mistakes, and that there is no damage from transit.
Please unpack the product immediately upon delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp tools.
Do not store vertically or stack. This can cause creases and deformation.

Regarding Returns and Exchanges:
We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer preferences.
We also cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check its condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Before Laying:
When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
After waxing or wet-mopping the floor, please wait until the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. If drying is insufficient, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. If left unfixed, the rug may slip and cause falls.
Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state can cause tripping accidents.

Regarding Size and Color:
Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
The pattern's appearance and how it is displayed vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

What Happens with Use:
Immediately after delivery, some curling from being rolled up may remain. It will gradually settle and disappear with a few weeks of use.
If heavy items such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized strong pressure is applied.
Rugs using cut pile may experience partial disturbance in the direction of the pile nap during use, appearing as cloudy color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic unique to cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

Care and Storage:
If a pile (fiber) pops out, do not forcefully pull it out; carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder and lay it flat in a place where no heavy objects are placed on top.

Precautions for Use:
Using the rug in direct sunlight can accelerate fading of the surface and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
Using rubber covers or similar on furniture legs may cause discoloration or color transfer due to a reaction with the rug's components, so please be careful.
Pressure marks (dents) may remain from localized pressure, such as from table legs. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
When moving heavy furniture with castors or a piano on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug while moving it.
Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
