About the Design

This rug features an impressive asymmetrical gradation that spreads like rising smoke. The subtle interplay of colors creates different impressions depending on the viewing angle and lighting, adding a quiet accent to the space. Since it's not symmetrical, simply changing its orientation can alter the appearance of a room. In addition to rectangular shapes, it's also available in an organically contoured pebble shape. The pattern will vary with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product numbers. 6727 is a warm color scheme flowing from terracotta to pink beige and ivory. It is the warmest of the three colors and pairs well with wooden furniture and rattan. With a 25mm pile, the color transitions appear soft. Cheminée is available in three colors: 6727, 6747, and 9332. Please confirm the actual colors in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

160×230cm is a size suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the shorter side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. 200×290cm is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug. 133×195cm fits in places where you want to place only a part of the furniture, such as beside a bed, in a study, or in the center of a studio apartment. The pebble shape has an organic contour, so it doesn't need to align with walls or furniture lines. In nearly square rooms or layouts where furniture is not placed against walls, it may fit better than a rectangular rug. Sizes are 160×230cm / 200×290cm. If using it in a dining room, as a guide, choose a size that adds 80cm to each side of the table width to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled out. In a bedroom, inserting the shorter side of the rug under the foot of the bed, about one-third of the way in, provides a good fit.

Material and Weave

Made of 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and has a feel that allows you to sit directly on the floor. It is more suitable for relaxing areas like in front of a sofa or beside a bed, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, use a low suction setting. It is Wilton woven, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3200g/㎡, with a 160×230cm rug weighing approximately 11.8kg. This is among the denser rugs in this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), offering a noticeable springiness when stepped on. It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. Origin is Belgium.

＜About Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual and wrapped in plastic in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packaging dimensions are: 133x195cm is approx. 15cm diameter x 145cm length; 160x230cm is approx. 20cm diameter x 170cm length; 200x290cm is approx. 30cm diameter x 210cm length (may vary slightly depending on the product). Pebble shapes have the same packaging dimensions as rectangular rugs of the same size.
Delivery is by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items into the room or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot specify delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜About Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not products manufactured by our company. After receiving your contact, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transportation as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. If not sufficiently dry, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood floors, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled may cause tripping hazards and falls.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be a ±3% error in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, some curling may remain. This will gradually subside and resolve with a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show partial disarray in the direction of the pile during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcibly. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds to block sunlight.
・Using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer, so please be careful.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture like pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
