About the Design

This rug features an impressive soft, deep gradient. The natural color transition from dark to light tones evokes the image of light piercing through morning mist. Simple yet impactful, this design complements a wide range of styles. It's a trendy gradient design that subtly enhances any space and creates a sophisticated atmosphere. If you place the darker side towards the wall and the lighter side towards the center of the room, the floor will appear to extend further back. The pattern may vary slightly with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 5332 is an achromatic gradient transitioning from charcoal to light gray. It is the most subdued of the three colors and does not clash with any flooring material. If you place the darker side towards the wall, the floor will appear to extend further back. Orb is available in three colors: 5332, 6747, and 7322. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

Choosing Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for placing in front of a sofa in a living room of about 6 tatami mats, with the front legs of the sofa resting on it. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be roughly aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table within the rug. If you plan to use it in a dining area, to prevent the back legs of chairs from falling off when pulled back, estimate the size by adding 80cm to each side of the table width. In a bedroom, you can insert the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about a third of the rug going under the bed.

Materials and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and comfortable enough to sit directly on the floor. It is more suitable for relaxing areas like in front of a sofa or by a bedside, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When using a vacuum cleaner, please set it to low suction. The weave is Wilton weave, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3200g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 11.8kg. Among rugs in this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), this one has a higher density, making it feel springy when stepped on. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and heated carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

Delivery Information:
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products are delivered with an instruction manual, packed in a plastic tube. The approximate packing dimensions are as follows: 133 x 195 cm (approx. 15 cm diameter x 145 cm length), 160 x 230 cm (approx. 20 cm diameter x 170 cm length), 200 x 290 cm (approx. 30 cm diameter x 210 cm length). (Dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product.)
Delivery is via Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items inside your home or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200 x 290 cm size, the package length exceeds 2 meters, so please check your搬入経路 (entrance route: elevator, stairs, doorway opening) in advance.

Please check immediately after delivery:
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stack it. This may cause creases or deformation.

Returns and Exchanges:
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After receiving your contact, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. It becomes difficult to determine if damage occurred during transportation as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Before Laying:
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may cause rug marks to remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets. Without them, the rug may slip and cause falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state can cause tripping accidents.

About Size and Color:
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual color and texture of the product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The appearance and positioning of patterns vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

What Happens with Use:
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show irregular patterns in the direction of the pile during use, appearing like cloudy color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

Care and Storage:
・If a pile (fiber) protrudes, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a tube shape to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

Usage Precautions:
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds to protect it from the sun.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with the rug's components, potentially causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure, such as from table legs, may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Please refrain from directly spraying insecticides, disinfectants, or hypochlorite, as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you need to spray it onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
