This is both furniture and sculpture. NIKARI's "BIENNALE Stool Table." The clean lines and weight, which make it look as if a log has simply been cut into a square pillar, exude a rustic and overwhelming presence. This piece was designed for the 2014 Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition.

"From oak trees that have grown for decades to reach the thickness of a stool, we select wood that cannot be used for furniture due to cracks, knots, or insect holes, cut it, and dry it. Then, the process of further selection, sawing, sanding, and oiling is repeated. The Biennale stool begins its story as furniture, creating its own unique aging and cracks from the moment it arrives at the customer's home," says NIKARI.

Insect holes, irregularities, cracks, and the way the heartwood runs – each of these elements makes it a unique work of art, with no two pieces being exactly alike.

Delivery is to your doorstep. We do not provide indoor搬入 (carrying indoors) or installation services.
Depending on the building conditions, such as the absence of an elevator or if advance notification is required for delivery work, delivery may be made on the first floor of the building instead of in front of your entrance. Also, if a single delivery person visits and depending on the condition of the building or its surroundings, you may be asked to assist the delivery person in carrying the item to your doorstep.
