The Biennale stool showcases a raw presence with its pure straight lines and substantial weight, appearing as if a log has been simply cut into a square pillar. This particular design was created for the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale International Exhibition.
NIKARI states, "Biennale stools start their furniture story, including their unique aging and cracks, from the moment they arrive at your home. We select oak wood that has grown for decades to the thickness of the stool but is unusable for furniture due to cracks, knots, or wormholes, then cut and dry it. Afterward, it undergoes repeated processes of further selection, sawing, sanding, and oil finishing."
Each Biennale piece is a unique work of art, with individual characteristics such as wormholes, unevenness, cracks, and the way the core wood is incorporated.
