Distant ridgelines gently connect across the floor.
About the Design
This rug features a striking, gentle gradient inspired by the scenery of連なる mountain ranges. The soft lines, reminiscent of distant mountain ridges, bring depth and a sense of quiet expanse to any space. The落ち着いた colors, evoking the natural earth, harmonize beautifully with natural interiors and wooden furniture. The modern expression of a natural landscape in this design adds a subtle yet significant presence to a room. The name Montagne means "mountain" in French. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.
About This Color
MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 6392 depicts mountain ranges in brown, gray, and ivory. It is the warmer of the two available colors and harmonizes well with wooden furniture. Montagne is available in two colors: 6342 and 6392. Please check the photos for the actual colors.
How to Choose Size and Shape
A 160 x 230 cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with the front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost flush with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. A 200 x 290 cm rug is suitable for a room of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table within the rug. For dining use, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled out, use the table width plus 80 cm on each side as a guide for the rug size. In a bedroom, a good fit is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, placing about one-third of it underneath the bed.
Material and Weave
The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 9mm. This is the lowest pile in this collection, giving the surface a tighter appearance. It is a good height for preventing dining chair legs from catching and for easy vacuuming. It is Wilton woven, a method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2750g/㎡, with a 160 x 230 cm rug weighing approximately 10.1kg. This is on the lighter side within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), making it suitable if ease of handling is a priority. It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.
