Distant mountain ridges gently undulate across the floor.
About the Design
This rug features a gentle, impressive gradation inspired by the scenery of continuous mountain ranges. Soft lines, like the ridges of mountains stretching into the distance, bring depth and a serene expanse to your space. The calm colors, reminiscent of natural earth, beautifully complement natural interiors and wooden furniture. With a design that modernly expresses natural scenery, this rug adds a subtle yet significant presence to any room. The name Montagne is French for "mountain." Please note that the pattern will vary with each weaving.
About This Color
MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 6342 features mountain ridges in sage green, gray, and ivory. It is the cooler of the two colors, and the color does not stand out against white walls. Montagne is available in two colors: 6342 and 6392. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.
How to Choose Size and Shape
A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be roughly aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is for a room of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table inside the rug. When using it in a dining room, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled back, use the table width plus 80cm on each side as a guide for the rug size. In a bedroom, inserting the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it under the bed, provides a neat arrangement.
Material and Weave
The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 9mm. This is the lowest in this collection, giving it a tight, firm surface. It's a convenient height that prevents dining chair legs from getting caught and makes vacuuming easy. It is Wilton woven, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The density is 2750g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 10.1kg. This is lighter within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), making it suitable if ease of handling is a priority. It is fire-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.
