This is the Soleils Osier cushion cover from Christian Lacroix. The mythical sunflower, called "Soleil" in French, became a focal point in works created by Van Gogh during his stay in Arles, when magnificent bouquets of sunflowers were placed in his room upon the visit of his friend Paul Gauguin. The vivid colors, depicting sunflowers in lustrous jacquard weave, are beautiful on both sides. The pattern placement varies with each cushion.

Christian Lacroix was born in Provence, France, in 1951. His designs are heavily influenced by the Provencal and Gypsy cultures of southern France. After serving as a designer for Hermès, he launched his own brand, "Christian Lacroix," and presented his haute couture collection. This collection received the Dé d'Or award, considered the highest honor in the haute couture world. He later served as director for Emilio Pucci and also designed uniforms for Air France. Currently, Sacha Walckhoff, who was considered Lacroix's right-hand man, serves as the brand's designer, actively producing interior items and thus giving birth to the Christian Lacroix collection, one of the Designer's Guild collections.
