Christian Lacroix was born in Provence, France in 1951. His designs are heavily influenced by the Provencal and gypsy cultures of southern France. After serving as a designer at Hermès, he launched his own brand, "Christian Lacroix," and presented his haute couture collection. This collection won the Dé d'Or award, considered the highest honor in haute couture. He later served as director for Emilio Pucci and also designed uniforms for Air France. Currently, Sacha Walckhoff, who was known as Lacroix's right-hand man, serves as the brand's designer and is actively producing interior items, leading to the creation of the Christian Lacroix collection, one of Designer's Guild's collections.
