This dramatic rectangular rug from Christian Lacroix features graphic forms of feathered foliage and palm fronds layered with subtle and soft tones and shading. The contrast between the black background and the colors and trellis pattern creates an almost iridescent effect. Digitally printed on a dense polyamide pile, and finished with a felt backing and black edges.
- Christian Lacroix -
Christian Lacroix was born in Provence, France, in 1951. His designs are heavily influenced by the cultures of Provence and the Gypsies in southern France. After working as a designer for Hermès, he launched his own brand, "Christian Lacroix," and presented his haute couture collection. This collection won the Dé d'Or award, considered the highest honor in the haute couture world. He later served as director for Emilio Pucci and also designed uniforms for Air France. Currently, Sacha Walckhoff, who was known as Lacroix's right-hand man, serves as the brand's designer, actively producing interior items, which led to the creation of the Christian Lacroix collection, one of Designer's Guild's collections.
