The Academia Chair was designed by Kaksikko, a duo consisting of designers Wesley Walters and Salla Luhtasela.
As its name suggests, it was designed by Wesley Walters as his doctoral thesis while he was studying at Aalto University in Helsinki.
The straight frame and softly curved seat and backrest provide stability despite their compact size, allowing for a relaxed sitting experience.
Wesley also has a background studying at an art university in Japan.
The Academia Chair incorporates elements from three cultures: Finnish chair manufacturing traditions, the simple American Shaker style, and traditional Japanese techniques.

<Delivery>
Delivery will be made to your doorstep. We do not offer indoor搬入 (carrying indoors) or setup.
Depending on the building conditions, such as the absence of an elevator or the requirement for prior notification for delivery work, delivery may be made on the first floor of the building instead of the entrance. Additionally, if the delivery person comes alone, you may be asked to assist with carrying the item to your doorstep, depending on the conditions of the building or its surroundings.
