About the Design

This rug features a delicate luster, expressing an abstract design in a vintage style. Because lustrous threads are woven into it, its appearance changes depending on whether it's viewed from the front or an angle. The impression shifts with the changing positions of light, from morning to night, so you might notice the detailed patterns days after laying it. As the pattern's assertiveness is gentle, it adds depth to your feet without visually reducing the floor area. The pattern's appearance varies with each weave.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 6464 is a nearly monochromatic color scheme ranging from ivory to silver-gray. Due to the inclusion of lustrous threads, it can appear bright or subdued depending on the angle. It is suitable for rooms where you want to keep the floor bright. Please confirm the actual color in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160×230cm rug is sized to be placed in front of a sofa in a living room of about 6 tatami mats, with the front legs of the sofa resting on it. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. A 200×290cm rug is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table within the rug. If using it in a dining room, to ensure chair back legs do not fall off when pulled out, aim for a size that adds 80cm to each side of the table's width. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug under the bed.

Materials and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a balanced feel underfoot and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton. This is a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3150g/㎡, with a 160×230cm rug weighing approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650〜3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜About Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual, packed in a plastic wrap in a cylindrical shape. The approximate packaging sizes are: 133×195cm will be approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length, 160×230cm will be approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length, and 200×290cm will be approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (actual dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be curbside or at your entrance. Drivers will not carry items into your home or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
Delivery to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands is not available.
Especially for the 200×290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please Check Immediately After Delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unbox the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unboxing, please be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stacked. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜About Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check its condition immediately after unboxing and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Please note that rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying the Rug＞
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please ensure the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets. The rug may slip and cause falls if not secured.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of our products, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by customers, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain some curl from being rolled. It will gradually flatten out and settle with several weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show variations in the direction of the pile during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a defect in quality.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If any pile (fringe) pops out, do not pull it forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make these less noticeable.
・When moving pianos or heavy furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.<!--nl⠀-->・Direct application of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. If you spray these onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
