About the Design

This is a relief-structured rug with an abstract design that gives a vintage impression, woven at high density with glossy threads. The surface is not flat; rather, the unevenness is created by the highs and lows of the weave, so the shadows change depending on the angle at which the light hits it. The same rug appears different in the low morning light and under evening lighting. Since it has a well-used texture from the beginning, it doesn't look out of place even when paired with new furniture. The pattern varies slightly with each weaving.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 7777 features ivory and beige as the ground colors, with navy sinking into them. This color scheme combines brightness and restraint, fitting well with both dark and light-colored sofas. Canon is available in three colors: 6454, 6616, and 7777. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

How to Choose Size and Shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa, with the front legs resting on it. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and the low table inside the rug. The 133x195cm size fits in places where you want to place only a part of the furniture, such as by the bedside, in a study, or in the center of a studio apartment. When using it in the dining area, to prevent the back legs of chairs from falling off when pulled out, estimate the size by adding 80cm to each side of the table width. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, about one-third of the way in.

Material and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance between comfort underfoot and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living and dining areas. Another advantage is that it's easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton. This is a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3150g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual, rolled and packed in plastic. Approximate packing dimensions are: 133×195cm is approximately 15cm diameter × 145cm length; 160×230cm is approximately 20cm diameter × 170cm length; 200×290cm is approximately 30cm diameter × 210cm length (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep/front entrance. Drivers will not carry items indoors or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Please note that the 200×290cm size, in particular, will have a package length exceeding 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please check that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack immediately after delivery. Do not store the product in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before laying＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as wooden floors, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug with folds or wrinkles may cause tripping and falls.

＜About size and color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The pattern appearance and visibility will vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What happens with use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain its rolled shape. It will gradually flatten out and resolve itself after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs using cut pile may experience partial disruption in the direction of the pile during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a defect in quality.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If any pile (fringe) pops out, do not pull it forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent folds and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to shade it with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar on furniture legs may react with the rug's components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.<!--nl'>・When moving heavy furniture such as pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
