About the Design

This cozy rug offers a pleasant, fluffy texture. The randomly drawn lines evoke the softness of clouds floating in the sky, while also possessing a sophistication that blends well with modern spaces. It's a piece that adds subtle luxury and comfort. The uneven spacing of the lines avoids the stiffness of regular patterns, creating a calming atmosphere whether in the living room or by the bedside.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product numbers. 6191 is almost entirely off-white. The random line patterns are in a similar shade, only becoming visible upon closer inspection. This is the lighter of the two colors, ideal for making a room appear more spacious. Ciel is available in two colors: 2383 and 6191. Please check the actual colors in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table within the rug's area. If using it in a dining room, as a guideline, add 80cm to each side of the table's width to ensure chair legs do not fall off when pulled out. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, about one-third of the way in.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (70% recycled yarn used). The pile height is 25mm. It is thick, providing a comfortable feel even when sitting directly on the floor. It is more suited for relaxed areas like in front of a sofa or by the bedside, rather than places where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, please use a low suction setting. The weave is Wilton. This is a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2900g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 10.7kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). Recycled yarn is used for the pile. It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

Delivery Information:
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packaging sizes are: 133 x 195 cm will be approximately 15 cm in diameter and 145 cm in length; 160 x 230 cm will be approximately 20 cm in diameter and 170 cm in length; and 200 x 290 cm will be approximately 30 cm in diameter and 210 cm in length (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items indoors or perform installation.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200 x 290 cm size, the packaged length exceeds 2 meters, so please check your搬入経路 (entrance route, e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway opening) in advance.

Upon Delivery, Please Check Immediately:
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack promptly upon delivery. Do not store in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects like cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

Returns and Exchanges:
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Before Laying:
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may cause rug marks to remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug simply placed may cause it to slip and result in a fall.
・Using the rug with folds or wrinkles can cause tripping accidents.

About Size and Color:
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

What Happens with Use:
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may have a curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear with a few weeks of use.
・Leaving heavy objects such as furniture on the rug for a long period can cause the pile to be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show partial disorder in the pile direction during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

Care and Storage:
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not forcefully pull it out. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

Precautions for Use:
・Using the rug in direct sunlight can accelerate fading of the surface and deterioration of the backing. Please take sun protection measures with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components, potentially causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally can make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture like pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug during movement.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorite, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when using by spraying onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
