About the design

This cozy rug has a soft, pleasant texture. The randomly drawn lines combine the softness reminiscent of clouds floating in the sky with a sophistication that blends into modern spaces. It’s a piece that adds subtle quality and comfort. Because the lines are not uniformly spaced, it lacks the rigidity of regular patterns, making it relaxing in both the living room and bedside.

About this color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 2383 features lines drawn in shades from greige to taupe. It is the more subdued of the two colors, suitable for both white and wood floors. Ciel is available in two colors: 2383 and 6191. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

How to choose size and shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the shorter side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want both the sofa and coffee table to be within the rug. If using it in a dining room, aim for a size that adds 80cm to each side of the table width to prevent chair back legs from falling off when pulled out. In a bedroom, it fits well by tucking the shorter side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about a third of it underneath.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (70% recycled yarn). The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and feels comfortable enough to sit directly on the floor. It is better suited for relaxed areas like in front of a sofa or by the bedside than for places where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, use a low suction setting. The weave is Wilton. This manufacturing method weaves pile yarn into the base fabric. The pile weight is 2900g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 10.7kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). The pile uses recycled yarn. It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products will be delivered with instructions included, rolled into a cylinder and plastic-wrapped. The approximate package dimensions are: 133×195cm will be approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm will be approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200×290cm will be approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the entrance of your home or premises. Drivers will not carry items inside or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Please note that for the 200×290cm size in particular, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway width) in advance.

＜Upon Delivery: Please Check Immediately＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unbox the product promptly upon delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unboxing, please be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stacked. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check its condition immediately after unboxing and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Please note that rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or refund is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transportation as time passes, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please ensure the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using a commercially available anti-slip sheet or similar product. If the rug is merely laid, it may slip and cause falls.
・Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled may cause tripping hazards and falls.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, as well as shooting conditions.
・The pattern and its appearance will vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain some curling from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show partial disruption in the direction of the pile over time, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) pops out, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds to protect it from the sun.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components and cause discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar objects may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make these less noticeable.<!--nl?>・When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
