About the Design

This design features an impressive, harmonious, modern monochromatic coloring. Its characteristic soft feel, woven with extremely high density, makes it appear almost solid from a distance, but up close, you can see the subtle variations in the weave. Rather than choosing it for its pattern, this rug is chosen to change the color and texture of the floor. In rooms where sofas and tables already have patterns or strong personalities, this tranquility works wonders. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 9293 blends greige, brown, and ivory. It is the warmer of the two colors, and can be seamlessly extended from a wooden floor. The high-density weave creates smooth color transitions. The "Fraise" collection is available in two colors: 6656 and 9293. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

Choosing the Right Size and Shape

The 160 x 230 cm size is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa so that its front legs rest on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. The 200 x 290 cm size is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and coffee table entirely on the rug. If using it in a dining room, as a guide, choose a size that adds 80 cm to each side of the table's width to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled back. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about a third of it under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance between comfort underfoot and ease of care, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3050g/㎡, and a 160 x 230 cm rug weighs approximately 11.2 kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

Delivery Information:
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products are delivered with instructions and wrapped in a cylindrical vinyl package. Estimated packaging sizes are: 133 x 195 cm (approx. 15 cm diameter x 145 cm length), 160 x 230 cm (approx. 20 cm diameter x 170 cm length), and 200 x 290 cm (approx. 30 cm diameter x 210 cm length). (Sizes may vary slightly depending on the product.)
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the curb or front door. Drivers will not carry items inside or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200 x 290 cm size, the package length exceeds 2 meters, so please check your搬入経路 (entrance route: elevator, stairs, doorway width) in advance.

Upon Delivery, Please Check Immediately:
Before use, please ensure there are no errors in the product number, color number, or size, and no damage during transit.
Please unpack immediately upon delivery. Do not store in a sealed condition.
When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp tools.
Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

Returns and Exchanges:
We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
We also cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition, send the actual item to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. It becomes difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Before Laying:
When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. The rug may slip and cause falls if not secured.
Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled may cause tripping and falls.

Regarding Size and Color:
Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
The pattern and appearance vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

What Happens with Use:
Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curling habit. It will gradually flatten and resolve with several weeks of use.
If heavy items such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized strong pressure is applied.
Rugs with cut pile may show unevenness in the pile's direction during use, appearing like cloudy color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a defect in quality.

Care and Storage:
If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder and lay it flat in a place where no heavy objects are placed on top.

Precautions for Use:
Using the product in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may cause discoloration or color transfer due to a reaction with the rug's components.
Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
When moving heavy furniture with casters or pianos over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. If you use them after spraying on a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
