About the Design

This design features a harmonious and modern monochromatic color scheme. It is also characterized by its very densely woven, soft texture. From a distance, it appears almost solid, but up close, you can see the subtle variations in the weave. This is a rug you choose not for its pattern, but to change the color and texture of your floor. In rooms where sofas and tables already have patterns or strong personalities, this quietness works well. The pattern varies with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 6656 is a monochromatic navy blue and gray. It has a stronger color among the two, suitable when you want to create a darker floor. It provides a clear contrast with lighter furniture. This phrase is available in two colors: 6656 and 9293. Please check the actual colors in the photos.

Choosing Size and Shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for living rooms of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of the sofa with the front legs on the rug. For 2-2.5 seater sofas, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of about 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug. If using it in the dining room, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled back, estimate the size by adding 80cm to each side of the table width. In the bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of it under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance between foot comfort and ease of use, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton. This is a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3050g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.2kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<about delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
The product will be delivered with the instruction manual included, wrapped in vinyl in a cylindrical shape. As a guide for packaging size, a 133x195cm rug will be approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length, a 160x230cm rug will be approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length, and a 200x290cm rug will be approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (actual dimensions may vary slightly by product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep/entrance. The driver will not carry the item inside or install it.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for 200x290cm rugs, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please check that the product number, color number, and size are correct and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stacked. This may cause creases or deformation.

<about returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition and send the actual item to the manufacturer for inspection. We will then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. As time passes, it becomes more difficult to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled can cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and also due to shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. This will gradually settle and disappear with a few weeks of use.
・If heavy items such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show irregular patterns in the direction of the pile fibers during use, which can look like cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic inherent to cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

<care and storage>
・If pile (fibers) protrude, do not pull them out forcefully. Carefully cut them from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

<precautions for use>
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may cause premature fading of the surface and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds to protect it from the sun.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components, potentially causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure, such as from table legs, may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally can make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture, such as pianos or furniture with casters, on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If using by spraying onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
