About the Design

We have added a sculptural, three-dimensional design to a soft-textured, voluminous exterior. The irregular stripes create a contemporary impression, bringing luxury and comfort to your space. Because the width and spacing of the lines are not uniform, the stripes do not feel rigid. Due to its thick weave, when placed on the floor, it feels more like a mass than a flat surface, creating a distinct zone within the room. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product number. 01-6181 is an achromatic color ranging from ivory to off-white. This is the lighter of the two colors, and its 25mm thickness and irregular stripes are visible solely through their shadows. The Mall Bond is available in two colors: 01-2181 and 01-6181. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats (approx. 9.7 sq m), placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is for a room of about 8 tatami mats (approx. 13 sq m), or when you want both the sofa and coffee table to fit within the rug. If using in a dining room, ensure that the chair's back legs do not fall off when pulled out; as a guide, add 80cm to each side of the table's width. In a bedroom, you can place the rug by tucking the short side under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug extending beneath the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (90% recycled yarn used). The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and comfortable enough to sit directly on the floor. It is more suitable for areas where you relax, such as in front of a sofa or by a bedside, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When using a vacuum cleaner, please use it on a low suction setting. The weave is Wilton weave, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3300g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 12.1kg. This makes it one of the denser rugs in this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), and you can feel its resilience when stepped on. The pile uses recycled yarn. It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual, packed in a cylindrical plastic wrap. The approximate packaging dimensions are: 133×195cm is approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160×230cm is approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200×290cm is approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (these dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items into your room or install them.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stack it, as this may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We also cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after they have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transport, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or refund is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before laying＞
・Before laying the rug, please clean the floor surface.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please ensure the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. If the floor is not sufficiently dry, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it is folded or wrinkled can cause tripping and other fall accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in monitors of computers and smartphones, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What to expect with use＞
・Immediately after delivery, there may be some curling due to being rolled up. This will gradually subside and disappear with a few weeks of use.
・If heavy items such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut piles may experience partial disarray in the direction of the pile during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a defect in quality.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcibly; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.<!--nl?>・When storing, roll it into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Use in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please use curtains or blinds for sun protection.
・Please note that using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture like pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
