About the Design

We've added a sculptural, three-dimensional design to a soft texture and voluminous appearance. The irregular stripes create a contemporary impression, bringing luxury and comfort to any space. Because the width and spacing of the lines are not uniform, the stripes don't feel rigid. Due to its thick weave, when placed on the floor, its presence is more like a mass than a surface, creating a distinct area within the room. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. 01-2181 is an achromatic light gray. It is the more subdued of the two colors, and the shadows of the three-dimensional stripes are more pronounced than with lighter colors. Mole Bond is available in two colors: 01-2181 and 01-6181. Please check the photos for the actual color.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for living rooms of approximately 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is for approximately 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug. When used in a dining room, as a guide, choose a size that is the table width plus 80cm on each side to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled out. In a bedroom, a good placement is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, placing about one-third of it under the bed.

Materials and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (90% recycled yarn used). The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and has a feel that allows you to sit directly on the floor comfortably. It is more suited for relaxing areas like in front of a sofa or by a bedside than for areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, use low suction. It is a Wilton weave, a method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3300g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 12.1kg. Among this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), it is one of the denser rugs, making it easy to feel the springiness when stepped on. Recycled yarn is used for the pile. It is fire-retardant and can be used on floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual, rolled and shrink-wrapped in plastic. The approximate package dimensions are: 133x195cm will be approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160x230cm will be approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200x290cm will be approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (dimensions may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the doorstep or entrance. Drivers will not carry items inside or set them up.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (e.g., elevator, stairs, doorway) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure there are no mistakes in the product number, color number, or size, and check for any damage during transit.
・Please unpack immediately after delivery. Do not store in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products that have been used.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (within 5 days of product arrival at the latest).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more time passes, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using a commercially available non-slip sheet or similar product. If left unsecured, the rug may slip and cause falls.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping and falls.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual product's color and texture may differ from the posted photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The appearance and placement of the pattern will vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the posted photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, there may be some curling due to being rolled up. This will gradually settle and resolve itself with several weeks of use.
・If heavy items such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs using cut pile may experience partial disturbance in the direction of the pile during use, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) pops out, do not pull it forcibly; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top.

＜Usage Precautions＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture like pianos or furniture with casters over the rug, always lay plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorite, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. If you intend to spray these onto a cloth before use, always test it on an inconspicuous area first.
