About the Design

This rug features gentle, flowing lines, as if looking down at the earth from above. Its organic form, reminiscent of meandering rivers and topographical flows, brings quiet movement and depth to any space. The soft, neutral-colored gradients naturally blend with various interior styles. Its smooth and gentle texture provides a pleasant sensation underfoot. The name "Méandre" means "meandering river" in French. The pattern will vary slightly with each weaving.

About the Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. In the 2383 rug, lines clearly stand out on a greige to taupe ground. Among the two colors, the pattern is easier to discern, directly conveying the concept of a meandering river. Méandre is available in two colors: 2383 and 6191. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. If you have a 2 to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for a room of about 8 tatami mats, or if you want to place both the sofa and the low table within the rug. When used in a dining area, to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled back, estimate the size by adding 80cm to each side of the table width. In a bedroom, the short side of the rug can be tucked under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug placed under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polyester (90% recycled yarn). The pile height is 25mm. It is thick and feels comfortable enough to sit directly on the floor. It is more suitable for relaxing areas like in front of a sofa or by a bedside, rather than areas where dining chairs are frequently moved. When vacuuming, please use low suction. It is Wilton woven. This manufacturing method weaves pile yarns into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3300g/㎡, and a 160x230cm rug weighs approximately 12.1kg. Among this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡), it is considered dense, providing a resilient feel when stepped on. The pile uses recycled yarn. It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

Delivery Information
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 JPY will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. The estimated packaging dimensions are approximately 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length for 133x195cm rugs, approximately 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length for 160x230cm rugs, and approximately 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length for 200x290cm rugs (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to your doorstep/entrance. Drivers will not carry items inside your home or install them.
Since products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
Especially for 200x290cm rugs, the packaging length exceeds 2m, so please check the搬入経路(elevator, stairs, and entrance width) in advance.

Please check immediately after delivery.
Before use, please ensure the product number, color number, and size are correct, and check for any damage during transit.
Please unpack promptly after delivery. Do not store the product in a sealed condition.
When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

Returns and Exchanges
We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
If there is a defect in the delivered product or damage during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (at the latest, within 5 days of product arrival).
Rugs are not products manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. As time passes, it becomes difficult to determine if the damage occurred during transit, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Before Laying
When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets. Without them, the rug may slip and cause falls.
Using the rug in a wrinkled or folded state can cause tripping and other fall accidents.

About Size and Color
Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
The actual color and texture of the product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors that customers view, and also due to shooting conditions.
The pattern appearance and presentation vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as shown in the published photos.

What Happens with Use
Immediately after delivery, a curling tendency may remain. This will gradually subside and resolve with a few weeks of use.
If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized heavy loads are applied.
For rugs with cut pile, the direction of the pile may become partially uneven during use, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

Care and Storage
If a pile (fiber) protrudes, do not pull it forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder, lay it flat, and avoid placing heavy objects on top.

Usage Precautions
Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate fading of the surface and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to shade it with curtains or blinds.
Please be aware that using rubber covers on furniture legs may react with rug components, potentially causing discoloration or color transfer.
Pressure marks (indentations) may remain due to localized loads, such as from table legs. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
When moving heavy furniture with casters, such as pianos, on the rug, always place plywood or cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, or hypochlorous acid, as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you use them after spraying on a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
