About the Design

This abstract design with a watercolor touch is expressed in contemporary colors. It features a bleed without outlines, as if paint is spreading on paper. The blurring of colors makes it appear as a single solid color from a distance, but upon closer inspection, multiple overlapping colors become visible. Among this collection, it is one of the patterns that conveys the most colors, making it suitable for adding a pop of color to a room decorated in neutral tones. The pattern will vary with each weave.

About this Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. 2535 is primarily charcoal grey, with an ivory bleed and a hint of blue. It is the darkest of the three colors, ideal for grounding a floor. This deep shade stands out beautifully against white walls and light-colored floors. Ville is available in three colors: 2535, 6484, and 7777. Please check the actual colors in the photos.

How to Choose Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is sized to be placed in front of a sofa in a living room of about 6 tatami mats, with the front legs of the sofa resting on it. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for rooms around 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and a low table within the rug. A 133x195cm rug fits in areas where you want to place only a part of the furniture, such as a bedside, study, or the center of a studio apartment. If you are using it in a dining room, as a guide, choose a size that adds 80cm to each side of the table width to prevent chair legs from falling off when pulled back. In a bedroom, you can place the rug by tucking the short side under the foot of the bed, about one-third of the way under.

Material and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance between comfort underfoot and ease of care, making it suitable for both living and dining areas. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton weave, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3150g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with floor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<about delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
The product will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. As a guide for packaging, a 133x195cm rug will be approximately 15cm in diameter and 145cm long, a 160x230cm rug will be approximately 20cm in diameter and 170cm long, and a 200x290cm rug will be approximately 30cm in diameter and 210cm long (this may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery is by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the entrance of your home. Drivers will not carry the product inside or install it.
Since the product is shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accept requests for specific delivery dates or times.
Delivery to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands is not available.
Please note that for the 200x290cm size in particular, the package length will exceed 2m, so please check your搬入経路 (elevator, stairs, and entrance opening) beforehand.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage from transit.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store the rug vertically or stack it. This may cause creases or deformation.

<about returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We also cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transit, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transit as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood floors, we recommend using a commercially available non-slip sheet or similar product. The rug may slip and cause falls if simply laid down without it.
・Using the rug in a creased or wrinkled state may cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual product's color and texture may differ from the published photos due to differences in the monitors of the computer or smartphone you are viewing, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and visibility of the pattern will vary with each weaving. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curling habit. This will gradually settle and resolve itself after a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut pile may show partial irregularities in the direction of the pile's nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (cloud phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a defect in quality.

<care and storage>
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder and lay it flat to prevent creases and wrinkles, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

<precautions for use>
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate the fading of the surface and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to shade it with curtains or blinds.
・Please be aware that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components and cause discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs, etc., may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with wheels or pianos on the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug.
・Direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug, so please refrain from doing so. Even when using after spraying onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
