About the Design

This rug features a rich, impressive texture reminiscent of rock surfaces and mineral particles. Inspired by the appearance of deep underground rock strata, the design brings power and depth to any space. The complex interplay of colors and delicate gradations offer a modern expression of natural forms. The落ち着いたアースカラーの配色は、木や石などの自然素材とも美しく調和し、上質で落ち着いた雰囲気を演出します。The name "Roche" means "rock" in French. The pattern will vary slightly with each weave.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 3888 is a deep color scheme that blends dark brown, gold, and charcoal. It is the heavier of the two colors, directly expressing the concept of a mineral cross-section. It creates an effective contrast with light walls. Roche is available in two colors: 3888 and 6696. Please refer to the photos for the actual color.

Choosing the Right Size and Shape

A 160x230cm rug is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with its front legs on the rug. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be roughly aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. A 200x290cm rug is suitable for about 8 tatami mats, or if you want to place both the sofa and the coffee table completely on the rug. When used in a dining room, ensure that the back legs of the chairs do not fall off the rug when pulled out; as a guide, add 80cm to each side of the table width. In a bedroom, the short side of the rug can be tucked under the foot of the bed, with about one-third of the rug extending under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance of comfort and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living rooms and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it's easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. It is a Wilton weave, a method where pile threads are woven into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3150g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜About Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of 5,500 yen will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual and wrapped in plastic in a cylindrical shape. The approximate packing dimensions are: 133 x 195 cm will be approximately 15 cm in diameter x 145 cm in length; 160 x 230 cm will be approximately 20 cm in diameter x 170 cm in length; and 200 x 290 cm will be approximately 30 cm in diameter x 210 cm in length (slight variations may occur depending on the product).
Delivery will be by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be curbside or at your entrance. Drivers will not carry items into your home or perform installation.
Since products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or certain remote islands.
For the 200 x 290 cm rug in particular, the package length exceeds 2 meters, so please check your搬入経路 (delivery route) (elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Check Immediately After Delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and check for any damage during transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Avoid storing it in a sealed condition.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects like cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜About Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer's convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for used products.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition and send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection. We will then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. The longer the time passes, the more difficult it becomes to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying the rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please wait until the floor surface is completely dry before laying the rug. If drying is insufficient, rug marks may remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets. The rug may slip and cause falls if not secured.
・Using the rug with folds or wrinkles can cause tripping hazards.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The actual color and texture of the product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and visibility of patterns may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. This will gradually flatten out and disappear within a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed (crushing). This is more likely to occur when localized heavy loads are applied.
・Rugs using cut pile may experience localized disruption in the direction of the pile nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If a pile (fiber) sticks out, do not pull it forcefully. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder to prevent creases and wrinkles, lay it flat, and do not place heavy objects on top of it.

＜Usage Precautions＞
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to block sunlight with curtains or blinds.
・Be aware that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components, causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure from table legs or similar objects may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally can make these less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters, such as pianos, over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug during movement.
・Avoid direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If using by spraying onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
