About the Design

This piece is an abstract, art-like design that makes a striking impression. It blends seamlessly into any space, adding depth and color to your interior. It's a rug that feels like modern art—abstract, yet with a sense of calm and warmth. Among this collection, it features a rich palette of colors and clear transitions between surfaces, making the floor itself a work of art when placed in a room with plain walls and sofas. The pattern may vary slightly with each weaving.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names and are managed by product numbers. 6414 features a design with mauve, plum, and gold accents on an ivory base. Among the three colors, it gives the warmest, softest impression. This is also the color number available in rounded rectangle shapes. Mycel is available in three colors: 6414, 6424, and 6444. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

Choosing Size and Shape

The 160x230cm size is suitable for living rooms of approximately 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with the front legs on the rug. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will almost align with the sofa's width, creating a cohesive look. The 200x290cm size is for rooms of approximately 8 tatami mats, or when you want to place both the sofa and low table within the rug's area. For dining rooms, to ensure the back legs of chairs don't fall off when pulled out, measure the table width and add 80cm to each side as a guideline. In bedrooms, a good way to lay it is to tuck the short side of the rug under the foot of the bed, placing about one-third of it under the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 55% polyester and 45% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance of comfort and ease of maintenance, making it suitable for both living and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it's easier to vacuum compared to long-pile rugs. The weave is Wilton. This method involves weaving the pile yarns into the base fabric. The pile weight is 3150g/㎡, with a 160x230cm rug weighing approximately 11.6kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650-3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

＜About Delivery＞
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packaging dimensions are: 133x195cm is approx. 15cm in diameter x 145cm in length; 160x230cm is approx. 20cm in diameter x 170cm in length; 200x290cm is approx. 30cm in diameter x 210cm in length (these may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be via Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery is to the curb or entrance. Drivers will not carry items into the room or perform installation.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accept requests for specific delivery dates or times.
Delivery to Okinawa Prefecture and some remote islands is not available.
Especially for the 200x290cm size, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check your搬入経路(elevator, stairs, entrance width) in advance.

＜Please check immediately after delivery＞
・Before use, please ensure that the product number, color number, and size are correct, and that there is no damage during transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, be careful not to damage the product with cutters or other sharp objects.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

＜About Returns and Exchanges＞
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not products manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will confirm the condition, send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, and then discuss the possibility of exchange or return. As time passes, it becomes difficult to determine if the damage occurred during transportation, so please contact us as soon as possible.

＜Before Laying＞
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may cause rug marks to remain on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as flooring, we recommend using commercially available non-slip sheets. If left unanchored, the rug may slip and cause falls.
・Using the rug while it is creased or wrinkled can cause tripping accidents.

＜About Size and Color＞
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be an error of approximately ±3% in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, and shooting conditions.
・The pattern and appearance may vary with each weave. The same pattern may not appear in the same position as in the published photos.

＜What Happens with Use＞
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl. This will gradually settle and disappear with a few weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are left on the rug for a long period, the pile may be crushed and flattened (crushing). This tends to occur when localized strong pressure is applied.
・Rugs using cut pile may experience partial disturbance in the direction of the pile nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color variations (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut pile and is not a quality defect.

＜Care and Storage＞
・If the pile (nap) protrudes, do not forcibly pull it out. Carefully cut it from the base with scissors.
・When storing, to prevent creases and wrinkles, roll it into a cylinder and lay it flat in a place where no heavy objects are placed on top.

＜Precautions for Use＞
・Using the product in direct sunlight can accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take measures to shade it with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar on furniture legs may react with rug components and cause discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure, such as from table legs, may leave indentations. Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving heavy furniture with casters or a piano over the rug, always place plywood or thick cardboard underneath to protect the rug while moving it.
・Please refrain from direct spraying of insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. Even when spraying onto a cloth before use, always test on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
