About the Design

Born from the layering of French phonetics, this rug is named "Breath." Its softly flowing colors and abstract, multi-layered motifs bring a poetic rhythm to any space. The ripples, as if drawn by the wind, and the textures, like walls etched with the passage of time, create a design that evokes movement within stillness. Since the pattern does not have clear outlines, the gaze flows through the room rather than stopping at a single point. The appearance of the pattern will vary with each weaving.

About This Color

MANAS rugs do not have color names; they are managed by product number. 9727 is based on gray and ivory, with a slight hint of yellow. It is the quieter of the two colors and complements any furniture. SULEYA is available in two colors: 9616 and 9727. Please refer to the photos for the actual colors.

Choosing the Right Size and Shape

The 160×230cm size is suitable for a living room of about 6 tatami mats, placed in front of a sofa with the front legs on it. For a 2- to 2.5-seater sofa, the short side of the rug will be almost aligned with the width of the sofa, creating a cohesive look. The 133×195cm size fits in areas where you want to place only a portion of the furniture, such as beside a bed, in a study, or in the center of a studio apartment. When using it in a dining room, ensure that the back legs of the chairs do not fall off when pulled out, by estimating a size that adds 80cm to each side of the table's width. In a bedroom, the short side of the rug can be tucked under the foot of the bed, with about a third of it placed beneath the bed.

Material and Weave

The material is 100% polypropylene. The pile height is 11mm. This height offers a good balance of comfort underfoot and ease of handling, making it suitable for both living rooms and dining rooms. Another advantage is that it is easier to vacuum compared to rugs with longer piles. It is a Wilton weave, a manufacturing method where pile yarns are woven into the base fabric. The density is 3050g/㎡, with a 160×230cm rug weighing approximately 11.2kg. This is a standard density within this collection (2,650–3,300g/㎡). It is flame-retardant and can be used with underfloor heating and hot carpets. The country of origin is Belgium.

<about delivery>
Rugs are not eligible for free shipping. A shipping fee of ¥5,500 will be charged.
Products will be delivered with an instruction manual,ビニール-wrapped in a cylindrical shape. Approximate packaging dimensions are: 133×195cm will be approx. 15cm in diameter and 145cm in length; 160×230cm will be approx. 20cm in diameter and 170cm in length; 200×290cm will be approx. 30cm in diameter and 210cm in length (may vary slightly depending on the product).
Delivery will be made by Sagawa Express courier service. Delivery will be to the curb or at the entrance. Drivers will not carry products indoors or perform installation.
As products are shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse, we cannot accommodate specific delivery dates or times.
We do not deliver to Okinawa Prefecture or some remote islands.
For the 200×290cm size in particular, the package length exceeds 2m, so please check the delivery route (elevator, stairs, and entrance opening) in advance.

<please check immediately after delivery>
・Before use, please check the product number, color number, and size to ensure they are correct, and that there is no damage from transportation.
・Please unpack the product promptly after delivery. Do not store it in a sealed state.
・When unpacking, please be careful not to damage the product with sharp objects such as cutters.
・Do not store vertically or stack. This may cause creases or deformation.

<about returns and exchanges>
・We do not accept returns or exchanges due to customer convenience.
・We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products after use.
・If the delivered product is defective or damaged during transportation, please check the condition immediately after unpacking and contact us promptly (no later than 5 days after product arrival).
・Rugs are not manufactured by our company. After you contact us, we will check the condition and send the actual product to the manufacturer for inspection, then discuss whether an exchange or return is possible. It becomes more difficult to determine if damage occurred during transportation as more days pass, so please contact us as soon as possible.

<before laying>
・When laying a rug, please clean the floor surface beforehand.
・After waxing or wet-wiping the floor, please lay the rug only after the floor surface is completely dry. Insufficient drying may leave rug marks on the flooring material.
・On slippery floor surfaces such as hardwood, we recommend using commercially available anti-slip sheets or similar products. Leaving the rug unfixed may cause it to slip and lead to falls.
・Using the rug while it has folds or wrinkles can cause tripping accidents.

<about size and color>
・Due to the nature of the product, there may be a ±3% error in the finished dimensions.
・The color and texture of the actual product may differ from the published photos due to differences in computer or smartphone monitors viewed by the customer, as well as shooting conditions.
・The appearance and arrangement of patterns differ with each weaving run. The same pattern may not appear in the exact same position as in the published photos.

<what happens with use>
・Immediately after delivery, the rug may retain a curl from being rolled. It will gradually flatten and disappear with several weeks of use.
・If heavy objects such as furniture are placed on the rug for a long period, the pile may become crushed and flattened (crushing). This is more likely to occur when strong localized pressure is applied.
・Rugs with cut piles may show a partial disturbance in the direction of the pile's nap during use, appearing as cloud-like color unevenness (clouding phenomenon). This is a characteristic of cut piles and is not a quality defect.

<care and storage>
・If a pile (fiber) protrudes, do not pull it forcefully; carefully cut it at the base with scissors.
・When storing, roll the rug into a cylinder and lay it flat to prevent creases and wrinkles, and do not place heavy objects on top.

<precautions for use>
・Using the rug in direct sunlight may accelerate surface fading and deterioration of the backing. Please take sun protection measures with curtains or blinds.
・Please note that using rubber covers or similar items on furniture legs may react with rug components, potentially causing discoloration or color transfer.
・Localized pressure, such as from table legs, may leave indentations (dents). Rotating the rug occasionally will make them less noticeable.
・When moving pianos or heavy furniture with casters over the rug, always place plywood or cardboard underneath to protect the rug while moving it.
・Please refrain from directly spraying insecticides, disinfectants, hypochlorous acid, etc., as this may cause discoloration or hardening of the rug. If you use them after spraying onto a cloth, always test on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
