Christian Lacroix was born in Provence, France, in 1951. His designs are heavily influenced by the Provencal and gypsy cultures of southern France. After serving as a designer for Hermès, he launched his own brand, "Christian Lacroix," and presented his haute couture collection. This collection received the Dé d'Or award, considered the highest honor in the haute couture world. He later served as the director of Emilio Pucci and also designed uniforms for Air France. Currently, Sacha Walckhoff, who was called Lacroix's right-hand man, serves as the brand's designer, actively producing interior items and more, leading to the creation of the Christian Lacroix Collection, one of Designer's Guild's collections.
