Christian Lacroix was born in Provence, France, in 1951. His designs are heavily influenced by the Provencal and gypsy cultures of southern France. After working as a designer for Hermès, he launched his own brand, "Christian Lacroix," and presented his haute couture collection. This collection won the Dé d'Or award, considered the pinnacle of the haute couture world. He then served as director for Emilio Pucci and also designed uniforms for Air France. Currently, Sacha Walckhoff, who was called Lacroix's right-hand man, serves as the brand's designer, actively producing interior items, and thus the Christian Lacroix collection, one of Designer Guild's collections, was born.
