Christian Lacroix was born in Provence, France in 1951. His designs are heavily influenced by the Provencal and Gypsy cultures of southern France. After working as a designer for Hermès, he launched his own brand, "Christian Lacroix," and presented his haute couture collection. This collection received the Dé d'Or award, considered the pinnacle of haute couture. He later served as the director of Emilio Pucci and also designed uniforms for Air France. Currently, Sacha Walckhoff, known as Lacroix's right-hand man, serves as the brand's designer, actively producing interior items, and thus the Christian Lacroix Collection, one of Designer's Guild's collections, was born.
