About WOODNOTES

WOODNOTES is a textile brand founded in Finland in 1987 by textile designer Ritva Puotila and her son, Mikko Puotila. Their products, made from paper yarn with a unique texture like twisted wood fibers, have won numerous awards, including the Kaj Franck Design Prize and the Red Dot Award, and are now loved in over 30 countries, primarily in Europe.
About Paper Yarn (PAPER YARN)
Paper yarn is a fiber made from paper, and WOODNOTES spent 20 years developing it for interior textiles. Made from high-quality craft paper from virgin pulp, paper yarn has a dense fiber structure and is less prone to static electricity, so it doesn't attract dust. Many products are also water-repellent. While not washable, dirt can be easily wiped off.
