Product Features
This special piece is a collaboration between Heini Riitahuhta, a leading ceramic designer from Finland, and House of Japan. Heini, known for her vibrant, bold, yet delicate expressions, created this design with a wish for closer ties between Finland and Japan, using nature motifs such as birds, butterflies, and flowers.
Crafted with a commitment to 100% natural linen, it was carefully dyed and produced in Kyoto. The thick linen fabric is durable, resistant to wrinkles after washing, and gains more character with use. The blend of natural materials and Nordic design brings a gentle and sophisticated ambiance to any space.

About Lintunen
Lintunen is a term of endearment for birds. In Finnish, "Lintu" means "bird," and adding "nen" gives it a familiar, endearing sound, similar to "little birdy" in English.
"For me, birds are also a symbol of great freedom, able to go anywhere. This motif features a dreaming bird in a flower-filled garden. At this time, I believe we need positive and happy dreams to continue living with hope. Birds are one of my main motifs, combined with a floral frame representing a garden. They can be connected to the roots of all the designs I have created so far."
Designing interior textiles was also a dream for Heini. This work embodies that dream and hope, wishing to fly off with them and bring them to everyone.

【Handling Precautions】
●About Neps
Neps are knots in the yarn formed by intertwined linen fibers that appear on the surface.
If neps are prominent, you can push them to the back of the fabric with a pointed object to make them less noticeable.
As shown in the product photos, the ink color may be partially missing due to neps.
There may be slight differences in the appearance of neps and fibers, but please enjoy them as part of the rustic charm of linen fabric.
Fabrics with the above conditions are considered normal and good quality products, and returns and exchanges will not be accepted. Please understand.
●For washing, please use a neutral detergent in a net or gently hand wash.
●There is a risk of color fading, so please wash separately from other items.
●After washing, do not leave it unattended; immediately reshape and hang to dry.
●Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause discoloration.
●Avoid tumble drying and using bleach.
●When ironing, avoid high temperatures and use a pressing cloth.
●For light stains, gently rub with a white eraser or firmly wring out a towel dampened with neutral detergent and water, then pat the stain. (Please remove the inner cushion at this time).
●If left wet from rain, snow, or sweat, color transfer may occur. If wet, remove the inner cushion (to minimize overlapping fabric) and dry in the shade.
●To help prevent color fading and stains, we recommend lightly spraying the fabric with a waterproof spray before use.
●The printed areas may transfer or fade due to friction. Please be especially careful when wet.
●This product may have yarn joints or slight fraying during mechanical weaving, but this is not a quality issue.
●Avoid long-term storage in high-humidity areas, as this may cause mold.
※For washing, please follow the care label instructions on each product tag.
※Please use a laundry net for washing.
