J'adore Belgium Fringed BIG Cushion with Filling, 80(84) x 40(44) cm

This 80x40cm large cushion with fringes, made from FR-One's contract fabric "JADORE" Flax from Belgium (with polyester filling), comes in a natural Flax color reminiscent of linen. The outer dimensions, including the fringes on all four sides, are approximately 84x44cm.

Product Features

The large size of 80x40cm gives it a different purpose than a 45cm square cushion. It can create a "surface" on its own, allowing you to lean against it as a backrest on a sofa, or use it directly on the floor as a low sofa. The fringes prevent it from looking heavy despite its large size, softening its outline and helping it blend into the space. As it's a neutral color that suits any wall or floor, it won't feel oppressive even when occupying a large area.

Although made from 100% polyester, it doesn't have the typical synthetic sheen. With a substantial thickness of 435g/m², it has a dry feel similar to linen. Large cushions are often leaned against, putting a significant strain on the fabric. However, this fabric has an abrasion resistance of 80,000 cycles according to the Martindale method, enduring daily use. It comes with a polyester filling, so you can use it immediately upon arrival. Each piece is carefully sewn by skilled craftsmen in Japan.

Inserting it horizontally between the backrest and seat of a sofa can stabilize your lower back position and change your sitting comfort. For a three-seater sofa, placing one in the center makes it easier to balance with 45cm square cushions on either side. It's also a convenient size for a backrest on a window bench or daybed, or as a floor cushion for relaxation.

Combining it with 45cm square cushions of varying sizes is the most foolproof arrangement. Placing it alongside the same JADORE 45cm square cushions (approx. 49cm including fringes) allows you to maintain consistent texture and color while creating rhythm. As it's a highly abrasion-resistant and flame-retardant fabric, it can be used with peace of mind in homes with small children or pets, and in living rooms where many people gather.
